Innovative Cybersecurity Platform

NEXT MOBILE Prosta Spółka Akcyjna received a grant from the European Union for the project “Creation of an innovative cybersecurity platform using machine learning to detect and report in real time irregularities and fraud attempts in telecommunications networks, based on the analysis of data from voice calls and text messages.”

The project includes the implementation of R&D works in the area of ICT/cybersecurity and their implementation through the acquisition of the necessary network infrastructure. The aim of the work is to develop a global digital innovation, an advanced telecommunications protection system focused on counteracting spoofing fraud, in particular vishing and smishing. These fraud methods focus on phishing through voice calls and text messages, and there are currently no effective methods to deal with them. The proposed solution, based on machine learning technology, will operate at the telecommunications network level, without the need for user intervention.

Algorithms will be able to autonomously identify and respond to fraud attempts while adapting to evolving cybercriminal tactics, ensuring continuous customer protection.

The project is a response to the growing problem of cybercrime in telecommunications networks, which significantly affects financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, e-commerce sector, etc.) and their customers – statistics indicate that 54% of all attacks target the financial sector. The project’s innovation will consist in significantly improving the efficiency and speed of detecting fraud incidents such as vishing and smishing (acting in real time). The implementation of the investment will reduce economic losses and increase cybersecurity for all users of telecommunications networks.
